Penhaligon Pets was established by Theresa Oakes (Oakemorton Weims) with the help of a Weimaraner mad family; long-suffering husband Pete and sons Mathew & Jonathon. Today, Penhaligon Pets is now run by equally Weimaraner mad Liz with the help of Phil.
My love of Weimaraners started from a very young age – from childhood it was my dream, to eventually own one, living with my parents and then in rented accommodation prevented this until In June 2006, when we purchased our first home.
New house with big garden was exciting enough, but never mind carpet and curtain shopping, First stop – James and Christine Bunting- Derbyshire, who are wonderful people and in our opinion, excellent breeders of Weimaraners. Tuesday 16th May 2006 approx. 3pm marked the arrival of 'Duke' (Valleysown Jack in a Box). Nine weeks later we collected our little bundle of joy.
Duke changed our lives from the moment he set paw in his new home. We had read so many articles about Weims over the years and can honestly say he has exceeded any dreams and expectations we may have had. There isn't a day that goes by when he doesn't make us laugh, and gone are the days of going anywhere without a shadow…..but we wouldn't have it any other way.
2 years later (08/05/08) Duke could be seen strutting his stuff at Staffordshire County Showground at his first Championship Dog Show. Duke was the one bouncing around the ring like a kangaroo! Needless to say he may not have quite got the hang of it!!
Which brings me on to the newest chapter in the life of DUKE'S household. We were recently offered an excellent opportunity to become the proud new owners of Weimy heaven – 'Penhaligon Pets'
As a Weimaraner mad family ourselves we could not pass up this opportunity. So, here we are, Liz, family and our furry 'owner' Duke, all striving to provide you, fellow Weimaraner owners, with quality and varied products from all around the world, for all occasions.
